Introduction to Digital Cameras and Photography, taught by Gold Coast photographer Paul Swan, covers the functions and features of all your camera buttons.
In a full day workshop, you will learn hands-on about apertures,
shutter speed, manual exposure, ISO and flash. You will leave with your
questions answered, able to create special effect portraits, landscapes
with depth of field, a misty effect and freeze moving objects.
Paul
is able to explain complicated instructions and concepts into easy to
understand language, taking you through the process step by step. He
will demystify the art of photography, allowing you to work with your
camera and create magical images.

Powerful Full Moon Drumming Circle at "Kupidabin Wilderness", a place of Peace and Harmony at the Lyell Deer Farm in Mt Samson.
"Kupidabin"
is protected by the State Government Environmental Protection Act and
blessed by Aboriginal Elder Tex Chapman to hold multicultural
gatherings, bringing people together and breaking down cultural
barriers.
The Full Moon Drumming Circle is bound to lift your energies, connect you with spirit and like minded people.
Participate with your own Hoop Drum or just enjoy the rhythms and high vibrations.
Bring a plate of food to share. Contribution is $10.00 per adult, children under 12yrs are free of charge.

New Moon Women's Circle
Women of all cultures are invited to join Kupidabin Women’s Circle where they can
follow the teachings that have been passed down for eons, by
generations of women from The Thirteen Original Clan Mothers, who came
here from the time before time.
The lessons teach us to respect ourselves, respect the environment, respect Creator and respect each other.
The Circle begins with a smudging ceremony. We will call
in the Spirits of the North, South, East and West, Mother Earth and
Father Sky and of course the Ancestral Beings and Creator. We ask the
Clan Mothers to join us as it is necessary for them to be with us. The
fire is lit and the women participating have a discussion about how
the previous month had been for them. Then discussions follow about
the lesson of the Clan Mothers for the month of the Circle. The Clan
Mothers teach us how to become a sisterhood once again.
This is a time and place where you can come each month and talk ‘Women’s Business’.
In this day and age of the fast lane and broken relationships we work
with the Clan Mothers to repair our shattered spirits to become our
whole self again.

personal chart, and an explanation about your sign and the planetary
houses. Astrology is the Art of Timing, come along and learn how to use
this
wonderful tool of knowledge to help improve your own personal
timing, and to have a deeper understanding of how the energies of the

The workshop is facilitated by Marilyn Hillier, president of the Gold Coast Astrological Society, and is a practical and interactive evening workshop, setting the

2011 Fairy Festival
The Kubidabin May Fairy Festival is following an
Ancient Celtic Tradition to be held in the Bush Garden "Boomajarril" at
the Lyell Deer Farm, Mt Samson Qld 4250.
Little people and big people are invited to celebrate and dress for this very special occasion.
There will be face painting, story telling and of course a visit from the Pixie Piper.
Participate in fun and games with fairy Luana, feed the friendly
deer (food supplied), meet "Buck" the singing deer, visit the
reservation with Indian Princess Mina, and meet "Woody" the mischievous
Wood Elf.
The cost is $12.50 for big folk and $8.50 for little folk.
